4. TransFollow App

The main purpose of the TransFollow App is to capture and share or exchange location based and time-sensitive transport related data (eCMR waybill), by the driver of the transport, consignors and consignees, to all stakeholders in the logistics chain.

Between picking up and delivery of the transport the drivers App must be able to continously communicate its location to the drivers (Carrier) company and the Consignee company. The driver mainly uses the App actively while picking up or delivering the transported goods but the location data needs to be shared in between these events, without interaction from the driver while he/she is driving.

To that end the App collects location data, but only if the App user agrees to share these data. Permission to collect and share location data in the background is requested explicitely before using the app. An indication of current location awareness is presented by a persistent notification.

App users can always turn off the collection of location based data.

All location based data are specifically stored within the context of one or more Waybills and are only accesible by the accounts that have access to these Waybills. The location based data are not (re)used, or shared with third parties, for any other purpose.
