UNTRR and TransFollow Webinar: Transforming the transport industry with the e-CMR
On September 26, 2024, National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania (UNTRR) partnered with TransFollow to host a highly anticipated webinar focused on the digitalization of CMR. More than 200 participants from the road transport industry, including carriers, retailers, and professional associations from IRU member countries, attended the webinar. The collaboration between TransFollow, UNTRR, and IRU (the International Road Transport Union) has been pivotal in advancing the adoption of electronic CMR letters, as outlined in the e-CMR protocol established by the United Nations CMR Convention.
The journey toward digitalization in Romania began in 2018, with the first e-CMR tests conducted by UNTRR and IRU, allowing several Romanian carriers to use electronic CMR documents through the TransFollow platform.
