Following Italy and Austria's adoption of e-CMR this summer, Hungary has become the latest country to embrace the digital supply chain.
On August 28th, Hungary officially joined the e-CMR protocol, becoming the 38th country to adopt digital, paperless road freight operations.
This move further strengthens the use of e-CMR across Europe, enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and security in Hungary's transport sector while streamlining cross-border logistics.
Key benefits of using a digital e-CMR solution include:
- Reduction of paperwork and administrative burdens
- Enhanced transparency, traceability, and overall supply chain efficiency
- Lower process costs through automation, such as direct integration with transport management systems
- Real-time access to data and status for all parties involved, including sender, recipient, carrier, forwarder, authorities, and insurance in case of damage
- Instant electronic proof of delivery upon recipient's signature
- Easy document archiving and retrieval
